The first step in this exciting journey is choosing your procedure. You may already have an idea of what surgery you’d like. Or you may have a few questions about the differences between certain procedures.

Our Auckland, NZ office is available to answer any questions you have, regardless of where you’re at in your decision making.

Once you decide what procedure(s) you’d like, we ask you to fill out your pre-booking medical form. This enables us to give you a quote for your procedure, and start checking availability and dates.

During this step we ask you to provide photos of yourself so that we can provide all the relevant information to the surgeons. With the information that you provide at this step, the surgeons confirm the procedures to be completed and prepare a quote for the costs of surgery and hospital care. The photos you provide here are for the surgeon’s use only, and are transferred securely, ensuring your privacy at all times. Please refer to the instructions provided for taking photographs.

While you’re waiting for your quote to come back, it’s a good idea for you to start looking into your flights.

Once you’re happy with the quote, location, date of your cosmetic surgery holiday, we will confirm your booking and introduce you to your personal travel consultant. And of course, we are just a phone call or email away if you have questions between the time of booking and your departure date.

This is the time for you to confirm your flights. Please note, Beautiful You Holidays does not book flights on behalf of clients, but we are able to answer most frequently asked questions about flying into Thailand and Malaysia. Just be sure to inform your airline/travel agent/travel insurance provider that you are travelling for cosmetic surgery.

You will be met at the airport at your destination – Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Phuket – by a driver who will take you to your hotel. There you will be greeted by your local client consultant who will be your main point of contact there.

They will be able to help you settle in, decide where to explore, eat, drink and shop and also discuss any cultural traditions and customs you should know about. They will also discuss your procedure with you and take you to meet your surgeon, often the day after you land.

More information about your specific location is provided to you in your ‘Beautiful You Holidays Care Package’ that you receive before you leave New Zealand. It contains details about your procedure, hospital, before and after care, key contacts, vaccinations, visas and passports, a suggested packing list, and some tourist information to help you make the most of your holiday.

Shortly after you land in Thailand or Malaysia, you will be taken by our local coordinator to visit the hospital and meet your surgeon. This is usually done the day after you land in your holiday destination. You will learn more about what to expect on the day of your surgery and your post-operative care, and you will be given ample opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

You will pay direct to the hospital before admission, usually just after your consultation. The overseas hospitals usually accept cash, credit card or prepaid international money transfer.

Should you require financial assistance, we offer a range of payment plans through trusted partners.

In some cases, you will be admitted to the hospital the night before, if your surgery is schedule for early the next morning. At your consultation your surgeon will let you know your surgery time and when you are to be admitted.

After your surgery, you will stay in your private ward for the required number of nights. Your surgeon will check on you, change drains, prescribe painkillers if required. Your Beautiful You Holidays coordinator will also check on you and make sure you have everything you need.

More detailed information about your surgery and your post-operative care will be provided to you in your ‘Beautiful You Holidays Care Package’.

When the surgeon has discharged you, we will take you back to your hotel and your local coordinator will help settle you into your room. You will be given your prescribed medications and a number that you can call 24/7.

You will have follow-up appointments with the surgeon after your procedure to ensure you are healing and recovering well. Your surgeon will advise you of what you can be doing to improve recovery, and any further creams or medications will be prescribed if necessary.

It is important to get adequate rest and recovery over the first few days after surgery. Clients often use this time to rest, read, sit poolside or go for gentle walks, making the most of time away from the usual demands of work and home life. Quite often there will be other clients staying and recovering at the same hotel, so you can make new friends and share experiences if you wish.

Staff and other visitors at the hotels are very accustomed to having cosmetic surgery clients around, so there is absolutely no need to hide away in your room while you recover. Your surgeon will let you know how much you can move around, and based on their recommendations and how you feel, you can slowly look at other programs, such as massage, pampering, or very gentle exercise. As usual, should you require anything, your Beautiful You Holidays coordinator is just a phone call away.

As you recover, you can enjoy more options, such as tours and travel. Or you may prefer just to relax longer and enjoy the pampering and other activities available at your hotel or resort. There is always the fantastic shopping at your destination where you can pick up great bargains. It’s important to enjoy your holiday away!

Your surgeon may want to see you a few times to see how your recovery is progressing, and then you will have a final consultation. The recommended minimum length of your stay will be decided upon during your initial quotation and booking stages.

On your departure day, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport again by our driver, approximately three hours before your flight departs.

Your support from us continues once you arrive back in your home country. We will contact you to check on you, and answer any questions you may have upon returning home. We will also forward any questions you may have for your surgeon and ensure that these are answered and relayed back to you.
