This procedure enhances and reshapes the buttock area in anyone who is after a more shapely, uplifted appearance. The procedure involves placing a gluteal implant (buttock prosthesis), or liposculpture (liposuction and fat transfer) to enlarge and reshape your buttocks. It can help create a more balanced look and reshape any deformities, sagging or flatness. It can also help alleviate any discomfort or displeasure you have in your thigh area. Buttock augmentation is common for transgender women who want to create a more feminine buttock and hip area.

The best candidate for buttock augmentation is someone who is:
As with any cosmetic surgery procedure, it is important to remember that your surgery will not turn you into someone else and you should not rely on your procedure to change your life. If you are considering undergoing a procedure it is imperative you speak to someone you trust, are happy in your life and are simply seeking to enhance your appearance and confidence, rather than looking to completely change who you are. It is equally important you are psychologically ready.
It is important to discuss with your doctors and with us any:
Once you arrive at your destination you will have a physical evaluation with your surgeon, where you will discuss your goals and concerns and finalise the plan for surgery. At this examination your surgeon will determine the best procedure for you and explain it to you in detail, including any limitations. It is important that you head into surgery with realistic goals. During this examination your surgeon may also make recommendations for other procedures available to you at the same time.
In the lead-up to your surgery, it is important you do the following:
Stop smoking. Smoking can cause problems with circulation and increase the possibility of complications.
Length of surgery:
This outpatient surgery takes around two to three hours. It often requires one to two nights stay in the hospital.Recovery and post-op care:
Each buttock augmentation is very different, depending on the types of implants used. If implants were used, you will need to wear a support garment for two to three weeks after your procedure. After about three months the swelling will have gone down, the implants will have settled and the final results will be noticeable.
If liposculpture and fat grafting were used, it is important you do not sit for about two weeks after surgery as it will damage the fat. You will need a pillow or cushion to sit on to help raise the buttocks. You will also need to sleep on your stomach or your side.
In either case, swelling, bruising and discomfort are common after your procedure, but can be eased with medication. Whichever method is used for your buttock augmentation, it is common for your surgeon to give you a support garment to wear at all time following your surgery. You can discuss this further with your surgeon before and after your procedure.
Length of stay:
It is recommended you stay on holiday for 10 - 14 nights, during which time you will have follow-up appointments with your surgeon. To get the most out of your recovery time we suggest you partake in gentle exercise, yoga classes and treat yourself to some pampering. If you are feeling up to it, there is plenty to see and do in Phuket, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
Risks and complications are minimised by using the care and services of our highly-skilled, trusted doctors and nurses. However, with every precaution taken complications can still occur. These are rare and few patients experience any issues. If you have any concerns about your procedure and the possible preconditions and risks, please discuss them with your doctor and nurses.
Potential risks include:
Many clients get more than one procedure done to make the most of their trip. Buttock augmentation is often done with other treatments, such as a tummy tuck and/or thigh lift to give a more balanced profile.
Non-surgical procedures can also be added to give an even more youthful appearance and change the texture of your skin so you return home even more refreshed.
