"Peace of Mind" for those contemplating surgery in Malaysia. I first considered cosmetic surgery after watching a piece on the program 'Sunday' regarding a women who went to K.L. for quite extensive surgery. I subsequently read numerous articles and researched Malaysia and Dr. Jalil in particular.
Fortunately I chose to ignore well meaning friend's negative advice regarding surgery in so called 3rd world countries. Nothing could have been more opposite. I had my surgery done in July 2007 and am absolutely thrilled with the outcome.
The facelift and jowl surgery have definitely taken a good 10 years off. It is with quiet smugness I smile to myself that I made the right decision in having my surgery in K.L. Seeing friends and family for the 1st time after surgery the feedback has been fantastic. The most positive being from a close friend who can be a little critical and certainly holds no punches, her first comment was "My God I want one".
Meeting Dr. Jalil for the first time certainly put my mind at ease. Whilst his professionalism is unquestionable, his easy going nature allows you to feel no question is too stupid to ask.
The Ampang Puteri Hospital definitely surpasses any I have been to in N.Z. The continually smiling faces and friendly disposition of the nursing staff make you feel like you are in the care of the most professional staff at any five star hotel.
My surgical holiday to Malaysia whilst slightly different to other holidays is certainly one to which I have no regrets and would highly recommend to anyone seeking this great adventure…

I met Loraine here in Auckland at a mutual friends birthday lunch, and being in the age group that we all were (45 plus) we got talking about Cosmetic Surgery. When I heard about going up to Kuala Lumpur and having surgery along with a nice relaxing/rejuvenating holiday at half what I would pay in New Zealand, I was instantly interested. I know people can be fearful of doing just that in an unknown country, but having been to KL there is no question about recommending it to anyone.
I was met at the airport by Beautiful You Holidays personnel, and whisked away to the comfort of the lovely 5 star apartment at the Prince Hotel. Everyone was really friendly, and all spoke exceptionally good English.
I was taken the next day to meet Dr. Jalil for my consultation. He was very nice and I immediately felt relaxed and in good hands. I had some tests done, and was sent home with instructions about what to do/not to do before my surgery. After my consultation I hit the fantastic mall across the road for a spot of shopping. (I thought I might not be up to it for a while as I was there for a tummy tuck and eye surgery)!
Beautiful You Holidays took care of all the administration/admission to hospital procedures so I didn’t have to think about anything other than being ready for the driver to pick me up early in the morning.
The hospital staff were all very kind and professional. Ampang Puteri have a whole floor reserved especially for overseas clients and they look after you very well. My operation went very smoothly and the aftercare was as good as, if not better than any I would have got at home. Also the staff at Beautiful You Holidays are very professional and make everything so easy.
Looking back - the whole thing was a piece of cake. I came away with money in my back pocket, it was cheaper and very professional – a complete no brainer. I had a fantastic time, the results of my tummy tuck and eyes are unbelievable. I think of Dr Jalil as“my hero” for fixing my problem areas!
Best thing of all, I would definitely go again.

I visited Malaysia in 2007 to have Lasik eye surgery and have to have my teeth fixed.
Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful city and great for shopping, sightseeing, food and nightlife as well as a cosmetic surgery, both surgical and non surgical procedures. I found the surgeons to be very professsional namely Dr Jalil at the Ampang Putri specialist hospital, where my friend underwent a face lift by Dr Jalil and to whom my partner and I will be using when we go back.
The five star apartment accommodation was very beautiful I could not fault it. The aftercare was brilliant. everything was organised eg pick up/drop off to all appointments and procedures.
I couldn’t get over how cheap the Hotel food and service was, plus how healthy and fresh the food came. - overall fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about going.

Elle R. U.K.I travelled to Kuala Lumpur in July 2007 for some liposuction. I found my surgeon spoke extremely good English, so I had no trouble at all in communicating with him which was a relief. I found him extremely friendly and he explained everything to me really well. I wanted liposuction on my abdomen, hips and thighs. I had saddlebags that no amount of exercise seemed to shift. I asked the Dr if after having 3 children – the lipo on my stomach would leave saggy skin. He said that due to the amount of skin I had that it would be a good idea to remove it along with the lipo by way of a mini tummy tuck. He explained that the scar would be just a little longer each side of the ceaserian scar I already had there, so I agreed to have the mini tummy tuck.
The results of the surgery were fantastic, I was really pleased that I had the mini tummy tuck along with the lipo, and would recommend anyone who has had children and wanting lipo to ask about the mini tummy tuck.
Everthing was taken care of from the time I arrived in Malaysia. I was picked up from the Airport – taken to my hotel, I was then taken to all my before and after consultations, my admission to hospital was without stress, and the facilities in the hospital were faultless.
My Hotel was fantastic, I had an apartment at the lovely Prince Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of traveling to KL.
Once I recovered sufficiently to get out of the Hotel, which was surprisingly quick, I started to explore the shops and markets. Shopping in KL is better than Hong Kong in my opinion. Endless shops, beautiful food and what’s more it’s soooo cheap! I saved 50% of the cost of the surgery at home and that included my airfares and Hotel! The staff at Beautiful You Holidays were lovely and I can’t wait to see them again on my next trip!
